He's Frickin' Killing Me!

The Critter sees me getting ready for my class this fall. I'm busy making name tags, cubby tags, t-shirt and all the other fun stuff that comes with a new year. I'm buying new toys and planning new crafts and games.

The past week or so The Critter looks at me with those big brown eyes and tells me in a quivering voice he doesn't want to go to Kindergarten. He wants to stay with me in my class. And of course, since he IS my baby, I want him to stay with me too!

*sob*

Dude, Jami is driving me so freaking crazy that I can't wait to drop his little smart-allecked behind off at school - let someone else attempt to not smack him for 7 hours... ;) But yours is just so sweet, wants to stay with momma... awww...

We had K orientation last night at Parmer Lane El. Mack had nervous stomach beforehand, but at the end of the night she told me her tummy was all done hurting now. It was sweet, and frightening all at once. That's the kind of thing I go through when I'm apprehensive. So now I'm terrified she'll have a lousy year because of her own fears, etc. etc. etc. I thought I was so ready for her to be at K. It's not any different from pre-K or day school. But I'm suddenly doubting my own ability to help her cope with "real" school. Angst and coffee seem to be the order of the day.
